VRA, NEDCo staff demand total withdrawal of Energy Sector Bill

Staff of the Volta River Authority (VRA) and Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) are protesting against the Energy Sector Bill sent to parliament.

Despite the Energy Minister pausing the bill, the staff demand a complete withdrawal, fearing the bill could be revisited.

They argue the bill, which proposes a merger between NEDCo, ECG, VRA, and Bui, isn't in the best interest of the companies or the country.

The protestors claim the issue is affecting their productivity and urge the government to act swiftly, as they were not consulted on the proposed merger.
