AAMUSTED student stabbed to death in Bantama over alleged theft

A final-year student from Akenten Appiah Menka University was fatally stabbed in Bantama, Ashanti Region, over an alleged theft.

The incident began when an elderly woman accused the student of stealing her bag and reported him to her boyfriend.

An argument between the student and the boyfriend escalated, culminating in the stabbing on September 3, 2024.

Despite being rushed to Suntreso Government Hospital, the student died en route. Local leaders' efforts to intervene were unsuccessful.

The suspect is now in police custody and will be processed for court.
