The Kwabenya Circuit Court has postponed the case of Newwel Gavu to September 18, 2024, to allow time for his mental evaluation results.
Gavu, who was filmed vandalizing the Big Six effigies at Kotoka International Airport, was referred for a psychiatric assessment on September 2, 2024.
The mental health report was not available at the court session on Tuesday.
State attorney Natalie Korkor Hammond indicated that prosecution will depend on the results of the assessment.
Gavu, arrested on August 31, 2024, remains unclear on his motivations.
