The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has condemned the assault on EIB Network court correspondent Murtala Inusah by supporters of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako.

The attack took place at the High Court in Accra on October 16, 2024, during a hearing involving the bishop and his wife, Mouha, whose son was linked to a fatal accident.

The GJA described the assault as "devilish" and called on the police to arrest and prosecute the attackers.

Inusah suffered injuries, lost his phone, and a police officer assisting him was also assaulted.

The GJA urged swift police action and punishment for those responsible.
