The Ghana Police Service has arrested five individuals in connection with a shooting incident on July 30, 2024, in Okanta, near Nsawam, resulting in the death of Daniel Dosu and injury to a police officer.
The incident occurred when police officers, accompanied by Dosu, were ambushed while attempting to make an arrest.
Dosu died from a gunshot wound to the forehead.
An intelligence-led operation led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Daniel Quaye, and four others: Anum Joseph, Joshua Aboagye, Kwesi Acquaye, and Acquaye Samuel.
The weapon used was also recovered.
The injured police officer has been treated and discharged.
