Election 2024: Police arrest NDC member for threatening mayhem

The Police have arrested Emmanuel Azubila Salam, an NDC member, for making inflammatory remarks during a campaign event.

In a viral video, Salam is heard urging NDC members to commit violence, including burning the homes of NPP members if the NPP refuses to concede defeat in the 2024 elections.

He was arrested by the Tema Regional Police Command on August 27, 2024, and has been charged with offensive conduct likely to breach public peace.

Salam is set to appear in court on August 29, 2024.
