The Adieso Police in the Eastern Region has deposited the dead body of an unidentified man in the Nsawam Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

The man is suspected to be an electrical cable thief.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency at Adeiso Police Station in the Upper West Akim District, a police spokesman said, Mr Kofi Amankwaah, a resident of the area told the police that he woke up at around 0100 hours and found that lights in his house were off.

Mr Amankwaah said he traced the cause of the power outage in the house to the electricity pole, and saw the body of the unidentified man lying dead with electrical cables around him.
