Former Black Stars player Samuel Inkoom has deposited GH¢10,000 of the US$8,000 he is accused of fraudulently taking from two complainants in the Kwabenya Circuit Court in Accra.

Inkoom, who pleaded not guilty to charges of defrauding by false pretenses, stated in court that he intends to refund the entire amount by October 31, following his hospitalization in Takoradi.

The prosecution alleges that Inkoom misled the complainants, Doris Dwakwah and Seth Osei Adjei, into believing he could help them relocate to the USA for US$4,000 each.

After receiving the money, he failed to secure their visas and did not respond to their inquiries. The case has been adjourned to December 2.
