A former cashier of the Ghanaian Times, Solomey Quarcoopome, has been accused by the Auditor General of misappropriating around GH¢100,000 in revenue over two years.
The allegations involve her failing to deposit collected funds and tampering with receipts to hide her actions.
During a Public Accounts Committee hearing, New Times Corporation's Managing Director, Martin Adu-Owusu, confirmed the case is now with the police, and efforts are being made to recover the remaining GH¢70,275.
Quarcoopome has been dismissed from her position, and legal proceedings are ongoing.
