The Greater Accra Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly have met with O’Reilly Senior High School's management following the tragic stabbing of a final-year student, Edward Borketey Sackey, during an argument over whose father was wealthier.
The incident has created tension at the school, with reports of a potential reprisal attack by a gang linked to the deceased.
Police intervention prevented the attack, though some students and teachers were manhandled.
GES Regional Director Stephen Abamfo has assured a full-scale investigation is underway, with the involved student in police custody and the deceased at the morgue.
