Jirapa Dubai murder: Court rescinds decision to transfer case to Kumasi

Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo has reversed her previous order to transfer the murder case of Royal Cosy Hills Hotel CEO Eric Johnson from the Wa High Court to Kumasi.

The change followed protests from Johnson's family, who cited public interest and logistical concerns.

The Wa High Court, led by Judge Yussif Assibey, had paused proceedings due to the transfer directive but will now continue the trial.

Lead prosecutor Saed Abdul-Shakur confirmed the case management conference on July 18th, followed by the trial.

Abdul-Shakur assured that sufficient evidence has been gathered to secure convictions against the three accused individuals.
