Koforidua: Police on manhunt for car snatching syndicate

The Koforidua Divisional Police Command is hunting down a group of carjackers responsible for stealing five vehicles in less than a week in the Eastern Regional capital.

The criminals, using master keys and remotes, track victims to their homes or shops, test the devices, and drive off with the vehicles.

Recent incidents include a senior staff member of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly and a businesswoman, both of whom had their Hyundai Elantras stolen.

The police have launched investigations and urge the public, especially mechanics and sprayers, to provide any helpful information.
