Nana Appiah Mensah, known as NAM1, will appear in court on July 10 to determine whether he must open his defense or be acquitted.
As the CEO of defunct Menzgold Ghana Limited, NAM1 is accused of defrauding customers by ignoring the Bank of Ghana’s directive against taking deposits.
Charges against Menzgold and Brew Marketing Consult include selling gold without a license, fraudulent breach of trust, and money laundering.
Defense argues NAM1’s innocence, citing tax payments and lack of evidence on licensing issues, while prosecution counters with allegations of false advertisements and defrauding investors. NAM1 maintains his not guilty plea.
