Police yet to investigate death of final year KNUST student

The Ghana Police Service has yet to start investigating the death of Patrick Mensah, a final-year BSc Agriculture student at KNUST.

The tragedy happened three days after he finished his studies.

Patrick and his friends visited an illegal mining site in Manso, Ashanti Region, where one friend fell into a deep pit.

Patrick attempted a rescue but also fell in and could not be saved.

Despite rescue efforts, his body was recovered later. Patrick had completed his exams and was back home to visit his family when the accident occurred.
