Two robbers arrested for robbing, chopping off okada rider’s hand

Two individuals have been arrested by Awutu Bereku Police for attacking an Okada rider, Stephen Tetteh, and robbing him of his motorbike in Awutu Ahentia, Central Region.

A week prior, the suspects hired Tetteh at Awutu Bereku Lorry Station.

Upon reaching their destination, they threw powdered pepper on him, pulled him off his bike, and, when he resisted, cut off his left hand with a cutlass before stealing the bike.

Tetteh later identified the suspects at the police station.

He highlighted the frequent motorbike robberies in the area and urged the police to enhance security ahead of the festive season.
