The Koforidua District Police Command has arrested a woman for scalding her co-tenant with hot water.
The suspect, Augustor Akorli, was put before the Koforidua Circuit Court “A” on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, and was granted bail. She has however not been able to meet the bail condition hence still in Police Custody.
Starr News has gathered on October 20, 2019, the victim Rejoice Ahorlu, a resident of Koforidua Anlo Town rushed to the Police Station with burns all over her body to report that the suspect poured hot water on her at about 9 am.
Police issued medical forms to her for treatment and has since been on admission at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
Whilst Police prepare to arrest the suspect, she suddenly popped up at the Police Station to report herself. She was immediately arrested by to assist with the investigation.
During interrogation, the suspect told Police, the victim and her children physically attacked her so she poured the hot water in self-defence.
