Journalist Yussif Abdul Ganiu, known as “Nshola,” has been convicted by the Asokwa District Court for making inflammatory comments on Zuria FM.

On April 20, 2021, he accused Sheikh Mohammed Ridwan, CEO of Alpha Radio, of misappropriating community property and incited unrest among Zango youth.

The court fined Ganiu GH¢6000 or a three-month prison term, ordered him to retract his statements publicly, and mandated a good behavior bond.

Sheikh Ridwan welcomed the verdict, emphasizing the role of media in fostering unity and condemning efforts to tarnish reputations.
