The Ghanaian News Canada proudly announces the 19th edition of annual Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Awards/Dinner and Dance.
The event will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at 65 Claireport Convention and Banquet Hall, (Albion/Steeles) in Etobicoke, Toronto.
Red carpet, interviews and networking start at 5:30pm with awards at 6:30pm.
The event dubbed; “Tribute to our Achievers" will recognize and honor 32 Ghanaian-Canadians who have excelled in their fields or made significant contributions to the well being of the community and Canadian society.
Awards will be given for community spirit and commitment, professional excellence, academic achievement, the promotion of culture, music and entertainment, sports, business and commerce and Religion. This Awards Night will therefore showcase both adult and youth role models within our community
It’s expected that hundreds of enthusiastic Ghanaian community members and well-wishers from all over Canada will gather on the evening of November 10, 2019, at the said venue to recognize outstanding achievers in the community.
Dignitaries who will be attending the expected mammoth gathering will include some members of the African Diplomatic Corps, representatives from the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels, community leaders, cultural groups, church members and the general public.
There will be an interlude of Ghanaian cultural display and Music Entertainment by various groups and artistes.
CIBC is sponsoring this year's event in part as well as Ghanaian Canadian Community Businesses
A modest fee of $60 per person is being charged at the door. Block Table purchases of 10 persons (reserved) per table for $600 are also available on request.
