Ghanaians in the UK are trapped at home, fearing attacks from violent anti-immigration protesters.
These protests, sparked by misinformation following a stabbing in Southport, have led to hotel fires and unrest.
UK-based Ghanaian journalist Kofi Marfo highlighted the community’s concern on JoyNews, noting that many law-abiding immigrants feel unjustly targeted.
Ghanaians hope for peace, fearing the situation might escalate.
Protesters have already set ablaze hotels housing asylum seekers in Rotherham and Tamworth, with around 100 people charged in connection with the violence.
