“We, the NDC chapter in the USA and throughout the diaspora, are solidly behind our National Chairman and warn that, should these orchestrated acts of intimidation and lawlessness persevere, we will have no options than to defend our party and the National Chairman with all the resources available at our disposal”, they noted in a press release issued and signed by Chairman of the chapter.
Vivian Maame Aba Dadzie noted that efforts to arrest Ofosu Ampofo is a “well-orchestrated attempt to destabilise the resolute front of the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress, to try and give the failed government of Nana Addo a free pass to winning the 2020 elections. This diabolic ploy will not fool Ghanaians who have suffered enough under the current regime”.

Intimidation of Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo
The NDC USA continues to observe with a lot of alarm and concern the continued harassment and intimidation by “supposed state agencies,” of our National Chairman, Honorable Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo.
Press reports on Tuesday, June 11 2019, indicate that the National Chairman, voluntarily tendered himself in to the Police, following an invitation and a subsequent arrest warrant unprofessionally broadcasted by the police and the state security apparatchiks as if to portray that our chairman was hiding from justice.!
These events are deeply disturbing since our chairman has denied all the accusations against him and pointed out that the information the police are using are false and made up to intimidate him and the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC! More perturbing is the fact that, his home was searched, and his personal items were unreasonably seized by the “NPP investigators”!
Even though he was granted bail, the intentions of the arresting officers are suspicious and cloudy since evidence could be planted on some of those items to implicate him.
Again, we strongly believe that, this is a well-orchestrated attempt to destabilize the resolute front of the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress, to try and give the failed government of Nana Addo a free pass to winning the 2020 elections. This diabolic ploy will not fool Ghanaians who have suffered enough under the current regime.
By freely submitting himself to the police, Honorable Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo has demonstrated once again that, he is a law-abiding citizen who believes in the rule of law and has nothing to hide.
Our main apprehensions are the neutrality of the state agencies who are investigating him because the ruling government has pervaded its agents and diehard members into the once neutral, acclaimed and reliable national investigating bodies!
That said, the Honorable Chairman, members of the NDC and the good and discerning people of Ghana will not succumb to these naked acts of intimidation, deliberate and bold untruthful accusations, designed to distract the gross failure and poor performance of the New Patriotic Party, NPP.
Like many Ghanaians, our chairman is unyielding and remains focused and resolute on fighting for all the citizens of Ghana from the crutches of the massive pain and suffering being meted by the obvious fumbling administration of Nana Addo.
Three years of Living under that NPP government, Ghanaians has realized that the NPP were deceitful in their promises to win power! Their only hope for the future lies in an NDC government, led by John Dramani Mahama, to rescue them. This is obvious by the massive attendance and cries for Mahama to come back, across the length and breadth of the country.
We, the NDC chapter in the USA and throughout the diaspora,are solidly behind our National Chairman and warn that, should these orchestrated acts of intimidation and lawlessness persevere, we will have no options than to defend our party and the National Chairman with all the resources available at our disposal.
We firmly advise the Ghana Police and the CID, headed by Madam Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, a homie of the president, to adhere to their sworn oath of office! Any attempts to be used as a proxy to serve the parochial interests of an unpopular and disastrous government will not be tolerated by Ghanaians.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind our teeming supporters, and all well-meaning Ghanaians to remain calm and committed as they go through this period of tyranny, because the NDC and John Dramani Mahama are surely coming back in 2020 to give hope and opportunities to them. A Ghana where once again everyone is assured liberty and harmony to work and pursue their cherished dreams.
