Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has refuted allegations by the NDC that President Akufo-Addo is stacking the Supreme Court with judges biased towards the NPP.
He explained that the nominations were made in response to operational requirements at the Chief Justice's request, dismissing the accusations as unsubstantiated.
The NDC claimed that the Judicial Council opposed appointing five judges, but this decision was allegedly overridden by the Chief Justice and President in a covert manner.
Dame defended the nominations, highlighting the judiciary's authority in justifying the need for expanding the Supreme Court.
