The second Africa Cinema Summit was launched in Accra, endorsed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, alongside the National Film Authority of Ghana and Silverbird Cinemas.
Set for October 7-10 at Movenpick Ambassadore Hotel, Accra, the event aims to explore the role of cinema in African communities.
Building on last year's success with representatives from 20 African countries, this year's summit will focus on enhancing local content production quality and consumption, fostering collaboration and innovation.
The executive steering committee was announced, including industry veterans and innovators.
Notable attendees at the launch included high-profile figures like Mark Okraku-Mantey, David Dontoh, and Adjetey Annan.
