While rapper Sarkodie was adjudged Male Act of the Year, gospel musician Diana Hamilton was crowned Female Act of the Year.

On the night of the event, tragedy befell the industry as renowned actor Bishop Bernard Nyarko was reported dead. He was said to have died after battling 'unknown' illness.

Some celebrities have not been spared the rod for posting on social media platforms, video clips which captured them shed tears in their quest to mourn the deceased filmmaker.
