Eco-Friendly High-Fashion Sneakers

Balenciaga’s iconic Triple S sneakers have been redesigned using eco-friendly Bananatex fabric, thanks to a partnership with fashion brand QWSTION. Maintaining the original chunky silhouette, the shoes now feature Bananatex, a sustainable, canvas-like material made from Abacá banana plants grown in the Philippine highlands without fertilizer, extra water, or pesticides, and promoting reforestation. QWSTION Co-Founder Hannes Schoenegger expressed excitement about this collaboration, highlighting it as a milestone for plant-based fashion. The revamped sneakers are available in two colors, marking a step forward in sustainable, high-fashion footwear.
