The CEO of GUBA Enterprise, Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, revealed that Ghana hasn't signed up for the Grammy Africa model initiated by the Recording Academy.
Ghana couldn't finalize requirements with the Academy, limiting its involvement in hosting the awards.
Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Africa are the founding countries.
Dentaa mentioned Ghana's potential future involvement through an MOU with Ivory Coast.
The initiative aims to promote African music globally, offering economic opportunities.
Additionally, the Recording Academy has introduced a new category for African music performance in the Grammy Awards, including genres like Ghanaian drill and highlife.
