Gifty Osei shoots a GH¢9000 video for 'Jesus Be Too Much’

Shooting of video in Ghana has become more expensive because of the improvement in the quality and standard of videos of late. One genre of music which has been criticized for a very long time for poor quality music videos is the gospel music.

It appeared that, gospel musicians were taking music videos for granted until recently when technology has exposed their lazy work.

Today, we have many gospel musicians who are shooting wonderful videos to compete with most of the secular music videos we have in the country. One of those gospel musicians happens to be the multiple awards – winning gospel musician Empress Gifty Osei.

Her recent album Jesus Be Too Much which is currently on an editing bench was shot with GHc 9000 cash. The video was shot by Emklan Videos, Directed by Quophi Okyeame, a radio Presenter at Rainbow Radio in Accra. Quophi Okyeame has shot a lot of award winning video clips but according to him, this one with Gifty Osei is extraordinary.

This video was shot at four different locations. In the video, Gifty Osei is dressed like a Queen clad in queenly regalia and is enstooled in a particular community.

It happens that, the community in which she is being enstooled doubts her credibility and some begin to ask questions as to when she came into the system to deserve that honour. But all Gifty Osei does whiles accepting the honour is to sing to the masses gathered that, it is Jesus who has made her who she is.

Speaking to Gifty Osei, she told this reporter that she had really invested in the video and that she was expecting a lot of response from it. “It is not easy to shoot a video with GHc 9000. It calls for someone who is serious and understand what he or she wants from her music life to do such a thing. My management and I have agreed that, my subsequent videos will all enjoy same effort and investments in order to reach our expectations,” Gifty Osei expressed.
