“I almost drank insecticide spray to end everything” – Visually impaired student

Esther Boadu, a visually impaired student from the University of Ghana, nearly committed suicide at age seven after losing her sight due to a medical condition.

Despite initial setbacks and societal stigma, she persevered through challenges, excelling academically, and now studies sociology, aiming to inspire others as a social worker and journalist.
