I'll love to get married – Yvonne Nelson

Actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson has stated that she would love to get married one day.

After her failed romance with Nigeria musician Iyanya, the mother-of-one has kept her love affair from the prying eyes of the public.

The internet exploded when news of her pregnancy became public. She has since delivered a baby girl, Ryn Robert, whose mother’s stardom is rubbing off her with over 88,000 Instagram followers even as a baby.

Speaking in an interview, the award-winning actress acknowledged the importance of holy matrimony between a man and a woman and said she would love to be united with a man in marriage one day.

“I’ll love to get married one day. It is something ordained by God, it is in the Bible and I’m a Christian and it is something I believe in. My mum, my brother and sister are all married and, so, I believe it is the right thing to do but it shouldn’t be rushed.

“In our generation, however, people don’t get to know somebody, they just rush and get married because they want to get a rock on their finger and all that and, so, you have to be patient when you want to get married, if you are sure, you can go for it. [But] I will love to get married,” she told Accra-based Peace FM in an interview.

Yvonne Nelson is currently promoting her latest movie titled Sin City at the Silverbird Cinema on Valentine’s Day, 14 February.
