Ghanaian female Dancehall artiste, Kaakie, has announced her split with Xtra Large Music via Instagram on Monday.
It is unclear what triggered the breakup between Kaakie and her management but it is alleged the female diva is dissatisfied with a comment by his mentor, Samini choosing Ebony over her.
Samini in an interview with Pulse Gh on Wednesday, August 2, admitted that when it comes to female Dancehall, he will always choose Ebony over Kaakie but still holds the latter to his heart.
“Kaakie is my daughter and there will be a limit to things I can do with Kaakie so I will choose Ebony.”
Xtra Large Music (XLM) is owned by music producer, JMJ.
Xtra Large Music and High Grade Family owned by Samini have worked on a number of projects together. Though she was signed to XLM, it was through Samini’s backing that she gained mainstream acclaim through collaborations and endorsements.
