I married my wife because of money – Kalybos

Actor Kalybos recently opened up about his marriage and past relationship during an appearance on the Girls Aloud podcast.

Asked why he didn’t marry his five-year girlfriend, Frimpongmaa, Kalybos explained that a long relationship doesn’t always guarantee it’s the right fit for marriage.

He admitted things weren’t working with her and confirmed their separation.

When asked if he married his current wife for her financial status or diaspora background, Kalybos jokingly replied, "Yeah, because she has money. She’s a rich woman."

His humorous response left the panel momentarily silent.

Kalybos recently celebrated his first wedding anniversary, marking one year with his wife.
