‘It’s an irresponsible statement’ – Stonebwoy on Gomski’s comment damning dancehall music

Stonebwoy has criticized Gomski, the manager of R2bees, for claiming that the dancehall genre is a problem for Ghana's music industry.

Gomski made the remark in a 3Music interview, which Stonebwoy called “irresponsible.”

During a discussion on Big Conversation on November 16, 2024, Stonebwoy urged Gomski to retract his statement, emphasizing the importance of dancehall in promoting Ghana globally.

Stonebwoy, who has invested significant time and resources into the genre, argued that such comments are disrespectful to the music and its contribution to the industry.

He also highlighted his own success in both dancehall and Afrobeat.
