JAY-Z made chief in Ghana?

I heard that Jay-Z was made into an African Chief by the good people of Ghana. I'm going to keep it 100% truthful: Def Jam has categorically denied that this event took place (that's the 100% truthful part).

However, I heard from a very, very reliable source that Jay-Z was appointed a "traditional chief" in Kwara State, Nigeria on Saturday. I can’t call it but the photos seem to suggest something "royal" happened over there in the Motherland! Peace and respect goes out to Akinlolu Osinbajo of Lagos.
