Jazz legend: Earl Klugh to headline 2015 Stanbic Jazz festival

American Jazz legend, Earl Klugh will be the main act at the 2015 Stanbic Jazz Festival at the International Conference Center which comes off February 19 and 20, 2015.

The second edition of the festival will also feature Arkah Blay and other local jazz artistes.

According to him, as part of the bank’s plan to nurture and promote the development of the visual and performing arts, thus the Stanbic Jazz Festival.

“We promised last year to make the Stanbic Bank Ghana Jazz Festival a stop on the global jazz calendar by presenting top-flight musicians to the people of Ghana.”

Earl Klugh is one of the most imitated icons of the instrument. He has issued dozens of discs, 24 of which have been on Billboard’s top-10 list of jazz albums. He has received 13 Grammy nominations.

Also speaking via the telephone at the lunch of the 2015 Stanbic Jazz Festival, Klugh said he, together with his band are ready for Ghana.

“We are ready to perform in Ghana and we can’t wait to touch down in Accra,” he said.

The second edition of the Stanbic Jazz Festival is in partnership with Vodafone Ghana, Delta Airlines, Graphic Communications, Quality Insurance Company and Buena Vista Homes.
