The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) CEO, Akwasi Agyeman, has updated on its agreement with musician Kirani Ayat following a 2022 copyright infringement case.

Ayat accused the government of using his "Guda" music video in a tourism promo without consent.

The case was resolved with compensation, and both parties agreed to collaborate on future projects.

However, Ayat was unavailable for a GTA project in December, and communication has stalled since.

The GTA remains open to working with Ayat when he is ready.

Previously, Ayat had sought the Tourism Ministry's support for his video as a promotional tool but received no response.

He has not disclosed his compensation amount but confirmed plans to work with the GTA.
