Late American star Harry Belafonte’s name placed on iconic Sankofa Wall in Ghana

On August 26, 2024, the Diaspora African Forum honored Harry Belafonte by adding his name to Ghana’s Sankofa Wall.

The ceremony in Accra, attended by Belafonte’s daughter Gina and DAF’s Dr. Erieka Bennett, celebrated his contributions to music and civil rights.

The wall now features this tribute to his legacy.
