Dancehall act Shatta Wale took to Twitter hours ago to celebrate the return of his boss Nana Appiah Mensah.
Reports were that the CID took him to their headquarters for further questioning right after he arrived at the airport.
NAM1 was dragged to court for allegedly defrauding 16,000 customers of more than 1.68 billion cedis.
The alleged fraud occurred within a 20-month period between January 2017 and September 2018, JoyNews has learnt from court documents filed by the state.
The businessman and socialite was charged in court Friday after finally returning to Ghana Thursday. He had spent more than six months in Dubai after absconding in January.
Nana Appiah Mensah was arraigned before court earlier today where he was denied bail and asked to reappear on July 26, 2019.
This did not go down well with some of his sympathizers thus they expressed their displeasure at the court’s decision.
Shatta Wale also took to the defense of his boss, saying he came to Ghana purposely to pay his customers.
