Ghanaian rapper Clement Ayamga, popularly known as Nambawan, has called on the organizers of the Upper East Music Awards (UEMA) to fulfill a key promise made during the 2023 awards ceremony.

In a comment on facebook, Nambawan reminded the organizers of their commitment to produce a music video for the winner of the Most Popular Song award, a category he clinched last year.

He questioned whether he should remain hopeful or publicly demand action, stating, "You guys are not done fulfilling your 2023 promises yet. Should I anticipate or we for loud am?"

The rapper’s post has sparked conversations among fans and stakeholders in the Upper East music scene, with many urging the organizers to respond swiftly.

Nambawan, known for his authentic storytelling and dedication to promoting northern Ghana’s culture through music, continues to gain recognition.

However, his latest statement highlights concerns over the support systems available to regional artists.

The UEMA organizers are yet to release an official response, but the issue raises broader questions about accountability and the need for tangible support in Ghana's music industry.
