Ghanaian Dancehall and Reggae artist Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, has expressed frustration over what he feels is a lack of recognition for his significant achievements in the music industry.

In an interview with 3Music TV, the ‘Jejereje’ hitmaker proudly reflected on his remarkable feat of filling the Accra Sports Stadium beyond its 40,000-seat capacity, drawing over 55,000 attendees to his self-financed 2023 concert.

“No artiste in my class has ever filled the Accra Sports Stadium like I did,” Stonebwoy emphasized, highlighting the scale of his success.

He also revealed that the entire production of the star-studded 2023 BHIM Festival, which featured a mix of top Ghanaian and Caribbean artists, was funded entirely from his own resources, with no external sponsorship.

Stonebwoy used the opportunity to shed light on his often-overlooked contributions to Ghana’s music scene.

“Some of us don’t like to talk, but it’s important to set the record straight. We’ve stepped back for others to claim leadership of the industry, but the facts speak for themselves,” he remarked, adding, “I’m speaking from my heart.”

Stonebwoy, a multiple award-winning musician, expressed pride in the sacrifices he made to bring the event to life, reaffirming his pioneering role in Ghanaian music.

On December 22, 2023, Stonebwoy made history again with his Bhim Nation—5th Dimension concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The event attracted fans from far and wide, surpassing the venue’s 40,000 capacity.

The crowd roared as Stonebwoy took the stage in his signature Bhim Nation gear, kicking off the night with an electrifying performance that solidified his status as a powerhouse in Afro-Reggae and Dancehall.

The concert featured performances from Ghanaian artists like Epixode, Larusso, Ras Kuuku, Kofi Kinaata, and Sefa, as well as Jamaican guests 10TIK and Jahmiel, adding to the night’s vibrant energy.

For over ten hours, the stadium became a celebration of music, culture, and unity.

Stonebwoy’s live band performance was a standout, with fans singing and dancing in unison, making for an unforgettable evening that honored both the artist and his loyal Bhim Nation supporters.
