Our culture and tradition has made it easy to be corrupt – Yvonne Nelson laments

Outspoken Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has once again added her voice to the issues of National interest.

Followers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on social media have developed a hashtag to highlight achievements of the Akufo-Addo led administration.

The Hashtag #thechangewevotedfor is geared towards informing Ghanaians that government under the leadership of Akufo-Addo is delivering exceedingly.

But Yvonne Nelson seems to have a different opinion. According to the mother of one, she can’t see the change everyone is talking about.

Yvonne Nelson is of the view that things are worse now and it’s a sad development.

In a recent tweet, Yvonne Nelson complained about the Ghanaian society.

She said: “But seriously tho, that change we talk about everyday…… I just can’t see it happening. Not from this side of the world! We are corrupt….our culture/traditions even teaches us to be! It’s like everything be bribe for here”.

It is an indisputable fact that corruption has engulfed the majority of Ghanaians. In the fight against corruption several actions has been taken by Media men, celebrities among others.

The big question here is, will corruption ever be eradicated??
