Ghanaian gospel musician Uncle Ato has expressed dissatisfaction with how churches often neglect the welfare of their instrumentalists and musicians.
Speaking on TV3’s Showbiz 360, he cited biblical references like Luke 10:7 and 1 Corinthians 9 to emphasize that those who labor deserve fair treatment and support.
Uncle Ato urged churches to show genuine concern for their musicians, even if they can't afford to pay them regularly.
He pointed out that church leaders sometimes overlook basic needs of musicians, like where they sleep and how they commute.
He argued that churches should prioritize assisting those who contribute to their services, just as they help orphans and the needy.
