Root Eye, a hiplife expert, defended Stonebwoy despite his criticism of Nana Kojo Mula's "10 Essential Hiplife Artists" article.

Although Root Eye thinks Stonebwoy doesn't fit strictly into hiplife, he praised his efforts to promote Ghanaian music and acknowledged his significant impact as a musical ambassador.
