Our Special Guest of honour, Madam Joyce Aryee, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, good evening. On behalf of the Vlisco Group, I welcome you all to this historic event. Thank you for honouring our invitation.

Tonight, we will be killing two birds with one stone: First will be the official opening of Vlisco’s Flagship store, the first of its kind in Africa and second, will be the launch of Vlisco Q4 collection for 2012.

The Vlisco Store is a new retail channel for the Vlisco brand. It is a concept which seeks to give the customer a unique, pleasant and memorable shopping experience. Our goal is to create a store where customers can access a vast array of Vlisco products and at the same time receive professional services from well-trained Store staff and Special in-store Consultants (Stylists and Tailors) who would help you in choosing the right fabrics and dress style that will match your taste, colour, frame and the occasion. We like every customer who goes through the Vlisco Store experience to have a taste of the wisdom and sophistication of 160 years heritage. She or he must come out of the store feeling special!!

The Vlisco Store (as you will have the opportunity of seeing very soon), has a number of unique features which are all designed to showcase the Vlisco brand’s qualities of inspiration and creative works of art. The most conspicuous feature you will find is the colour of the store – White! The white backdrop and floors are meant to bring to life the colourful and creative designs of Vlisco. At the centre of the store is a ‘stage’, where the spotlight will be on our latest product innovations, trends or collaborations.

Ladies & Gentlemen, you may be wondering why the choice of Ghana and Accra for this new Vlisco retail concept? Obviously, Vlisco is quite comfortable and confident of Ghana’s democratic environment which is encouraging business development. Accra is one of the most bustling cosmopolitan cities in Africa where shopping malls are re-defining the retail landscape.

Right after the opening of the store, which will be performed by our Special Guest, we will return here for the launch of the Q4 collection christened, Parade of Charm.
