TO: YOUR EXCELLENCY, Busumru Kofi Annan,
A Special Appeal
It appears to some of us that the on-going transition in our dear country is getting rockier and rockier by the day and we need your able interventionist help to bring the former and the current administration together in the ‘rough’ task of changing from one government to another.
I have faith in the competence of His Excellency, Professor John Atta Mills, whom Ghanaians have mandated to govern our country for the next four years and, therefore, my calling on you to intervene to make the transition smooth and rancour-free is by no way a contradiction of that faith.
I recognise that our current democratic journey started not long ago and we must not allow hurdles on the way to weaken our resolve and dampen our spirit. It is in cognisance of this fact that I appeal to you, Your Excellency, Busumru Kofi Annan, to intervene.
I believe that you can play a conciliatory role and help resolve any outstanding differences between the two groups. I make this appeal with the interest of our great nation in mind.
