Asantehene Unknowingly or Knowingly Ruins Kumawuman

Unless the Ananangya and the Odumase royal families buck the craftily institutionalised delaying tactics, I am afraid the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute will remain unresolved for many more years. The true paramount royal families (Ananangyas and the Odumases) of Kumawu are crawling on their fragile knees and palms like a toddler when it comes to seeking ways to wrestle their stolen birthright from the false Ankaase royals. For nearly four years since the disputation over who should succeed the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II, the paramount chief of Kumawu, started, the Ananangyas and the Odumases have not been throwing the much expected powerful punches to floor the Ankaases. They have not even seriously sought to hit the Ankaases with the kid's gloves that they are wearing. They are just punching the air in quite a haphazard manner. Are they not in effect sitting on their lap, twirling their fingers, yawning, sighing, and hoping for the day when God Himself will descend from the Higher Firmaments to beg them to take their Stool? If this was their aspiration, then they must be the biggest jokers ever existed on this planetary earth. They are cunningly being denied the opportunity to face the Ankaases in public over the issue of who the rightful owner of the Kumawu paramount Kodua Stool actually is. But who is to blame? Nobody is to be blamed but them. Neither Asantehene nor Kumawuhemaa is to be held culpable for the frustration Kumawuman is intentionally compelled to go through but the Ananangyas/Odumases are highly blameable for not throwing the anticipated knockout blows.

To pull the points, it will be recalled that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II firmly instructed amid warning that the Kumawuman sub-chiefs assist Kumawuhemaa to find and install a Kumawuhene within the first forty days of the demise of Barima Asumadu Sakyi II. This was said in the hope of getting his Sweetheart, Kumawuhemaa; impose a weakling of her choice whom they could manipulate, on Kumawuman. Little did he know that Kumawuman citizens were no longer going to countenance further corrupt, myopic and false royals from the queen's Ankaase family? Barely had the queen's entourage returned to Kumawu after officially informing Otumfuo at the Manhyia Palace of the death of Barima Asumadu Sakyi II when the queen was slapped with a Court's injunction initiated by Kumawu Aduanahene alias Joe Fry whom I now prefer to call "Joe the Great" for his courage and farsightedness.

The queen responded to the Court injunction with incredibly fallacious submission as published on both Mordernghana. com and Ghanaweb.com on Wednesday 3rd April 2011 under the heading "Why is Kumawuhemaa Adamant about Keeping the Kumawu Paramount Throne?" No sooner had the said written submission been made than she suffered a second whammy. The Asantehene's "Ntamkese" was invoked on her. Hardly had Asantehene summoned both the disputing families, (Ankaase on one hand and the Ananangyas & Odumases on the other) before the Asanteman Council when the queen became a victim of a second invocation of same "Ntamkese" The invocations of the Ntamkese were not only to restrain her from installing a candidate of her choice as the next Kumawuhene but also to prove her ineligibility as Kumawuhemaa in public when given the chance.

Otumfuo at the one Asanteman Council asserted that any day, any time, that Abena Wurukye alias "Abena Akokohwede", was found guilty on contesting the Ananangyas/Odumases over the true ownership of the Kumawu paramount Stool, the sitting Kumawuhemaa was also automatically guilty. This firm assertion was made when Kumawuhemaa in contrast to everyone's expectation refused to counteract Wurukye's claim on Asantehene's Great Oath (Ntamkese) that she, Wurukye, is the owner of the Kumawu Koduah Stool but not the Ananangyas nor the Ankaases. While the Ananangyas instantly refuted her claim by invoking counter Ntamkese on her, the Kumawuhemaa sat quiet, agape, and almost drivelling. This prompted Asantehene to issue the above statement. Wurukye after two years on with all her lies and nonsense was found guilty. Why is Kumawuhemaa still hanging on like a nuisance buzzing tsetse-fly still seeking to suck Kumawuman's blood until Kumawuman collapses? Does Asantehene really mean his words as stated above? Do I take him on his words? Is he a man of his words? I am afraid not. Is he licking back his vomitus? It seems he is.

Is it not true that the only power accorded Asantehene over Kumawu issues is when there is an involvement with the invocation of his Ntamkese but nothing else? Why then does he not limit himself to exercising that power according as it empowers him but seeking to arrogate to himself extra authoritarian powers? If that is an attempt to pay his Sweetheart (Kumawuhemaa) in kind, then I am afraid he has got his calculations totally wrong.

Kumawuman citizens are fed up with the obnoxious attitudes of the queen and her Ankaase family. They are complete nation wreckers. Their track record from the days of Yaw Dabo will be recounted in full in the near future. The youth and the entire people of Kumawuman are clamouring for a change in the traditional rule. They want the queen out. They want the true owners of the Kumawu Koduah Stool to repossess their Stool that has until now being usurped by the Ankaases.

Asantehene should not be allowed to proceed any further with his wishy-washy as it does adversely affect the aspirations and redevelopment of Kumawuman. Kumawu is in total ruin owing to the bad leadership of Kumawuhemaa and her ilk.

I personally appeal to the entire youth of Kumawuman to rise up to defend their rights. For how long will you nonchalantly continue to sit on your arse while Kwamanghene and Agogohene are scrambling for your lands to sell? This is what is currently going on in the absence of a paramount chief in Kumawu. Now that the Ananangyas/Odumases are crawling on their knees and palms when it comes to being assertive before Otumfuo, it is the duty of the youth to step in to save their place of birth from further ruin by dubious characters. Kumawuhemaa is a dubious character.

When are the Ananangyas/Odumases going to learn to walk let alone running or flying? Time will time. For how long shall you the youth of Kumawuman resign to allowing fate to take its natural course instead of bending it to suit you as does the Whiteman? Today, your future as prosperous Kumawuman citizens and how to achieve that has been spelt out to you. It is up to you to decode the enigma as secretly enshrined in this write-up.

Come and drink from my overflowing fountain of wisdom all you Kumawuman citizens that labour for assistance. I do not hate Kumawuhemaa and her Ankaase royals as persons but I do puke at their selfishness, insatiable greediness, myopias and possessiveness. If I was a Kumawuman citizen, I would move Heaven and earth to bring them to their senses. It does not pay to be greedy but the cost of greediness is huge.

The fight to liberate Kumawuman from the painful grips of the Kumawuhemaa still rages unabated. All eyes are on Asantehene now. Will he continue with his shilly-shally or he will backtrack?

Aluta Continua!
