Atta Mills will be humiliated in 2012

In 2008 Ghanaians were fed up with the NPP and, the blatant disregard for the common man. Ghanaians were sick of the absurd display of wealth in the midst of misery. Ghanaians were disgusted with the lack of humility and, a focus on the common man thus, there was a loud cry for change. When all options were weighed one man stood “tall” (pun intended). It was John Evans Atta Mills.

In John Evans Atta Mills Ghanaians saw a patriot, a scholar, a gentleman, a humble non vindictive leader who could push us to new heights and help Ghana achieve self actualization. He was the leader who was finally going to fix all the water problems, the electricity problems, improve our education, improve our economy, and improve our lives. He chose a fellow humble man in John Mahama as his right hand man and, many Ghanaians were pleased. John Atta Mills was going to be the man who was going to finally bring the change that Ghanaians had been waiting for, for decades.

Two years later, it has become evident that Ghanaians were swindled. In 2 years there has been no major change in Health care and Education. Even worse, the economy has not improved and, if it was not for the forthcoming oil we would suffer a 4 year decline which would never have been predicted by any economic model using the data from 2000-2008…I can now confidently say that With or without Oil Atta Mills will now suffer a humiliating defeat.

The common men and women I speak to on the street don’t like Atta Mills anymore. They don’t like his propaganda machine and, most of all they don’t like his policies or, his lack of policies. Many have been rendered poorer and, are frustrated by a government which does nothing apart from committing the most egregious corruption. This includes deals like the Korean housing deal which Dr. Mills insists on pushing through. This deal is so egregious that only a person receiving kickbacks could support it. I will say it again, no genuine Ghanaian who loves Ghana can support such a deal. The deal is “unGhanaian” in every sense of the word. Housing is a problem but, Atta Mills plan shows a lack of vision is solving the housing problem because; the houses are too small and, are priced out of the range of many Ghanaians. Also, the cost in building them are too high for what we are getting. This is not the only reason he will be booted in humiliation.

Atta Mills will also be booted out of power for doing nothing on Health care. Go to any hospital in Ghana and, if you want to be near tears go to the maternity section. Dr. SELFISH Atta Mills, has done NOTHING since coming to power to help our pregnant women and, the future generations that they are carrying. Even after one of his own MP’s lose a child he did not care. This man, Atta Mills, even smiled as his OWN MINISTER left Ghana to have her children in the USA. Is this the man Ghanaians voted for?

The answer is no, if Ghanaians were told that after 2 years Atta Mills would accomplish what he has currently accomplished he would have lost all 10 regions! If Ghanaians could have seen the future to be what it is now, many would have told Atta Mills to take his change and stick it where the sun don’t shine. There is no change, there is no improvement and, we are suffering immensely. Was the NPP better?

The answer is YES. The NPP were dirty capitalist but, at least they were modernizing Ghana and, in doing so there was more room to find prosperity if one had the tough business mentality. In Atta Mills Ghana that environment is becoming smaller and smaller. I have personally become poorer as a direct result of this dirty administration. The archaic economic policies of Dr. Mills leave no room for a guy like me to become more prosperous. This especially annoys me since I was one of the swindled voters who cast my ballot for him. Well, You fooled me once Dr. Mills, it won’t happen again YOU WILL BE HUMILIATED IN 2012!
