A year on since news of one of the most gargantuan robberies in Ghana's history broke, Ghanaians, especially the victims, are yet to get relief by way of a plan by the government to retrieve the moneys stolen, notwithstanding the Presidency being fingered in the scandal.
President John Dramani Mahama has turned Ghana's gold to worthless sand; allowed callous Chinese Galamsey to wreak havoc to the environment and pollute the water bodies that supply drinking water to hundreds of villages dotting the Ghanaian topography under cover from Asiedu Nketia, Okudzetu Ablakwa, Collins Dauda, and other NDC vampires.
He has allowed people to scam the nation in his name with the proliferation of microfinance institutions and Presidential Susu collectors. Yet some people are swept off their feet with the sacrilegious NDC mantra, “transforming Ghana”.
Well, if the term is anything to go by, then yes John Mahama and the NDC have transformed Ghana from a success story to one of shame, scandals, drug trafficking, thefts, embezzlement, and sheer Create, Loot, and Share methodology of governance! The word to use is rather ‘transmogrifying Ghana’!
As if that is not enough, Ghanaians accuse John and Lordina Mahama of creating a microfinance company with the sole intent to commit fraud and get away with their crime because of the power they assume in the country. What at all do they want again?
Having misappropriated the nation's resources over a period of eight years, more intensely the past five, with an estimated amount of $10 billion dollars purportedly stashed away in investment havens like Dubai, Qatar, Singapore, and so on, aided and abetted by Ibrahim Mahama, the President’s brother, as is being discussed in the business circles, it seems that their thirst for more of innocent Ghanaian blood is insatiable, hence their plan to defraud people of the Brong Ahafo, Lordina Mahama's home Region.
DKM it was called! A company said to be fronted by John Mahama’s stooge, who became the best example manifest of the word “scapegoat”. Let us, for the benefit of the doubt say that the President and his wife, Lordina, had nothing to do with it, so how come the CEO of DKM is not in jail? He was arrested and released on bail.
Who is protecting the interests of the victims? Though they continue to cry foul for the disappointing show of insouciance that John Mahama has exhibited in this regard, Bank of Ghana remains adamant after the resignation of its former governor Dr. Wampah, who refused to resolve the disgraceful scandal.
It would also seem as if officials of the central bank are in collusion with the economic crooks at the Presidency and their 419 agents.
When the heat got too intense, a flimsy promise was made by the President that an arrangement was in the offing to pay the victims of DKM. But then again, when has John Mahama ever kept his promise? This one too was no different. Many months passed by and nothing happened, but the anger continues to rage on in the bosom of these poor victims.
Even though they have resolved not to vote for the NDC in the upcoming 2016 general elections, John Mahama is unperturbed. After all, who cares for these poor folks? Neither he nor the NDC do. He knows that his Presidency will not be renewed, so he will need the money to use while his ten billion dollar investments accrue dividends.
Ghana is a nation of striving plebeians, living under abnormally crude circumstances forced upon them by the NDC in a 27 year reign of terror, horror, monetary impropriety, theft, drug proliferation, tribalism, divide and rule, and pure hatred.
Do Ghanaians want this situation to continue? NO! Do Ghanaians want to remain impoverished while John and Lordina Mahama steal their money to invest abroad? NO! Do Ghanaians want to give John Mahama another term to send them to hell and keep them there? NO!
Please, vote out the President who is accused of duping the nation billions of Dollars! Please vote out the President whose brother has run down a whole bank and bought it back through a South African company Fortiz Private Equity Fund Ltd, suspiciously!
Please vote out President Mahama, who has no message and is campaigning on personality attacks rather than issues because he knows that after stealing the nation’s coffers, he has lost the confidence of the people.
