Ignoring them is the best revenge.
By aknowledging a 'petty' problem you give it existence and credibility.
The more attention you pay an enemy,
the stronger you make him; and a small mistake is often made worse and more
visible when you try to fix it. It is sometimes best to leave things
alone.if there is something you want but cannot have, show contempt for it,
the less interest you reveal, the more superior you seem.
Nana Akuffo Addo as a great man with great dignity so far, needed to know
how to play the cards of disdain and show contempt to what he cannot have
'become' leaving out his nobility very intact; no one could have disputed
that fact and what he has done to this country, his name could have remain
as superior as ever.
However, he chose to send a petition to court to turn the result of the
election, thinking @least he could be the first person to have sent an
electoral irregularities to court in the world ,but never consider the
message it will send to the populace should the party(NPP) lose the
election petition in court. Now the petition is in the fourth month and
Nana Akufo Addo and his NPP have not yet prove anything tangible to tell
the whole world that, the noise they have been making is worth making it.
It is obvious that people always side with the underdogs when two teams
meet and in this case, the ruling party is seen as the underdogs and the
rest of the respondents. NPP have to work hard to prove beyond reasonable
doubt that, the so called irregularities has affected the results of the
election, if not they may have a lot to explain or may have to discover
more lies to tell their supporters or risk losing the next coming election
.It is always important not to give your enemy the chance to fight with you
especially when he is the underdog, you only give him the opportunity to
test his strength and will know how to prepare when next he is to face you.
NPP as a great party with great intellects ,as ghanaians see it, went to
court to turn the results of the election to show to ghanaians and the
whole world that, no political party, large or small can beat them once and
for all in an election, thinking the petition would be over in few weeks
and President John Mahamaand and his NDC would soon be forgotten. That is
not how it is playing out.The longer the petition take, the more it focus
attention on NPP's incompetence and NDC with their lawyers cleverness.
The enraged NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo, Dr. Bawmia and Jake O. Lamptey, did not
consider that, the petition could be joined by any intrested party as in
the case of NDC, the imbalance of the size of the persuer and the persued,
should in case NDC wins the case, What would be the consequences, thus NDC
would stay free and would make the affair a joke, and in the end this white
elepant of lawyers, economists,'intellects' for that matter would be
humiliated. The expedition to turn the results will accomplish the
opposite of what it set out to do, it will not leave NDC only free but more
popular than ever.
What NPP should have done is to show less interest and ignore it
altogether for the time being, waiting for NDC to display their
incompetence to Ghanaians , you believe in their incompetence, allow them
to operate and commit all the blunders since ghanaians have open their eyes
and ears watching and listening. NPP's constant attacks, unnecessary
accusations and criticisms will only strengthen them (NDC) and in the long
run they will succeed.
Remember; you choose to let things bother you, you can just as easily
choose not to notice the irritating offender, to consider the matter
trivial and unworthy of your interest. That is the powerful move. What you
do not react to cannot drug you down in a futile engagement. Your pride is
not involved. The best lesson you can teach an irritating gnat is to
consign it to oblivion by ignoring it.If it is not possible ignoring it''
Late prof; J.E.A Mills had ignored it in 2004 and became a victor in 2008''
You have more important things to think about, you have got all the time in
the world to plan for the next coming election if not you, your successor,
then never inavertently draw your attention on a bothersome insect that
will go away or die on its own. If you waste time and energy on such
entanglements, it is your own fault. learn to play the cards of disdain and
turn your back on what cannot harm you in the long run.
