Dr. Sekou Nkrumah has no future

Who is Dr. Sekou Nkrumah and what does he know about national development through politics? Give us a break. It is no doubt that the affairs of the nation’s youth has declined under the leadership of this man who was trusted and given an opportunity to exhibit his proclaimed youthful minded talent.

Unfortunately, he had failed to live up to expectation of some of us young people and now beginning to distract the countries developmental work being done by the NDC under the leadership of Prof. John Evan Atta Mills.

Let Ghanaians not believe that Dr. Sekou Nkrumah is one of those hungry men who pretend to be godly under the cover of the late Dr. Kwame Nkruma, his father who has left for the people of Ghana and most especially the young ones an evolving legacy of quality leadership. After few year of getting involved in the countries politics, I am convinced that Dr. Sekou is no doubt one of such politicians who does not understand the political game as a platform to foster partnerships for development but rather sees politics as a platform to exhibit his family’s glory.

Dr. Sekou Nkrumah should know better that if the NDC Chairman Mr. Kwabena Ajei made mention of the fact that there are many ways of killing a cat, then that “Killing the Cat” is an expression made by the chairman of the NDC to indicate that there are many rots among the judicial service of the country that needs to be made clean by means of ways available in other to protect and promote the freedom and justice in the country which of course is the bedrock of the National Democratic Congress. Of course it is evident that the legal system of the country has become so corrupt and I have no doubt that during the NPP between 2000 and 2008 was the breakthrough of the judiciary’s corrupt act since very little attention was paid to fighting corruption. Secondly, we have reminded ourselves too many times of non-factual incidences that happened in this country many years back. Here, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah compares a simple proverb – a phrase ‘KILLING THE CAT” to the killing of High Court Judges. This is not a way to deepen our democracy. It is foundation being laid by non-matured politicians like Dr. Sekou Nkruman and the likes to disrespect the Ghanaian’s quest for deeper democracy. But the Ghanaian cannot be manipulated anymore because we have embraced democracy and will do anything to protect it and make more sustainable.

Finally, it will only be fair to let Dr. Sekou Nkrumah know that his appointment as the National Youth Coordinator had nothing to do with the fact that the NDC lack credible and more qualified person to harmonize the youth and provide them with better signals of hope for a future, but rather his appointments was on facts that the NDC believes in a collective efforts and also believes in providing a platform for role plays to every Ghanaian who holds the nation at heart. But at least now, some of us know that not everything that glitters is gold and in that same regards not everyone that has “Dr.” attach to his name administer medicine to the sick.

“Your medicine to the sick killed the sick” meaning the youth has become more defragmented than ever before in this country and that is why I think your involvement in Ghana’s politics will yield no result. In Short Dr. Sekou Nkrumah has no future in Ghana’s political environment as well as the nation’s field of both social and economic development.
