Please this is not JUNK MAIL. It was generated by me Tee, true story.
I want to introduce Ghanaians at home and abroad a guy in Charlotte, North Carolina called Peto Clement Kinsaka, a big time FRAUDSTER. His victims are mostly Ghanaians in the used clothes "Obroniwawu" business. This is how he goes about it scamming them of thousands of dollars.
Mr. Kinsaka has posted his business profile on most trade, business expo and business-to-business (B2B) websites as a credible import and export business dealing in used clothes, shoes, bags, used cars etc.
According to the police in Mecklenburg county in North Carolina, they believe Mr. Kinsaka started he shipped to one guy and that guy spread the news as being credible and now he is taking Ghanaians down like wildfire. If you’re one of those people spreading him as credible business among Ghanaians stop it now.
He starts with emails and calls to the individual interested in buying from his business. To establish trustworthiness, Mr. Kinsaka will then get the individual to come visit his warehouse to see for him/herself what he has. After that visit by the buyer, he then demands an upfront deposit of $10,000 to be deposited into his Wachovia account. He then promises 3-4 weeks to get either a 20 or 40 foot container load of used whatever the individual is getting ready and shipped to destination. Sometime during the end of the second into the early part of the third week, he demands the balance, provides fake container number to the individual creating the impression that the container at the port ready to be loaded onto the ship.
At that point in time, he sets the second part of the scam into motion. Mr. Kinsaka then will pose as a good business guy by advising that getting two containers will be more profitable. Since, he wants repeat business, he is willing to risk it by asking that the individual pay half the cost of the second container and he will ship that second container to destination as soon as he can.
Most of the victims quickly buys into his wise and "good looking out" advice. The individual goes on to pay him the balance through the established mode of payment. Once he gets all the money, it's over with that individual. He stops responding to emails and calls, and moves the wares to a new location and starts tracking new business leads.
Don't be fooled by the false ratings all the trade and expo websites give his business; they are all aiding him to scam more people.
The Better Business Bureau that rates business in North and South Carolina has graded his business "F," because Mr. Kinsaka couldn’t respond to complaints and the business could not be verified.
According to the police, six years ago, Mr. Kinsaka was arrested on fraud charges. In recent times, they’ve received more than a dozen complaints about his on-going scams. The police said the victims went into contract with his business; as a result victims that need re-dress will have to go through the civil courts to retrieve their monies. It is unfortunate the police cannot go after him since these cases are civil in nature.
All his listed addresses on his business cards and letterheads do not exist. One of the address is a funeral home, sending a message of “Go have your funeral” to victims.
Below is his business profile on most trade, business expo and B2B web sites. It is not a valid location:
