Free second cycle education is one of the most laudable initiatives Ghanaians have ever witnessed, and Free SHS has been regarded as one of the most successful legacies of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In nation building we need to develop the Human Capital, without developing Human Capital the nation cannot grow economically.

Human Capital refers to production factors coming from human beings, we use to create goods and services. Our knowledge, skills and habits form part of human capital that contributes to creation of goods and services.
Education is the key factor for developing Human Capital and it is the trend (Free SHS) in Ghana now.

Education develops the nation's Human Capital which will increase their net worth in the near future. Human Capital and economic growth have a strong correlation, human capital affects economic growth and can help develop an economy by expanding the knowledge and skills of people through education.

Free SHS policy initially encountered accommodation challenges but through the timely response from the Education Minister and his deputy they were able to introduce the famous Double Track System for the interim.

As i write now, most of the second cycle institutions are no more operating the Double Track System because of the newly infrastructures constructed in most schools.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's government needs to be commended for this great initiative of building the Human Capital for the next generation, I can confidently say Ghana's literacy rate will move from 79%(2018) to 95% (2022).
